The Hatozaki Triple Cask Reserve is a striking expression of modern Japanese craftsmanship from the Kaikyō Distillery. Blended by master‑distiller Kimio Yonezawa, it undergoes a three‑stage maturation: first in ex‑bourbon casks, then in ex‑sherry casks, and finally finished for six months in rare umeshu (Japanese plum liqueur) barrels. This unique finishing step delivers unexpected notes of dried citrus, sweet ume plum, black tea, and vanilla, layered over softly toasted oak and spice.
