1972 Allen Millyard 5-Cylinder Kawasaki S2 415cc – Show Condition | Ultra Rare Custom Engine
A true unicorn of the motorcycle world – this 1972 Kawasaki S2 features a legendary 5-cylinder 415cc engine custom-built by Allen Millyard, one of the most respected engine builders in the world. This incredible piece of engineering is based on two standard Kawasaki triple engines, seamlessly combined by Millyard to create a unique 5-cylinder layout.
Only six of these engines were ever made, with most now residing in museums in the US and Japan. Allen Millyard has confirmed this engine as one of his originals, identifying it by his unique stamp, and even described it as the smoothest one he’s ever built.
Bike Restoration & Build:
While Millyard created the engine over 20 years ago, the bike itself was untouched until recently. The previous owner took on the task of completing this one-of-a-kind project, restoring and building the bike around the engine to an exceptional standard in 2020.
It has been restored to mint, show-quality condition, yet the overall aesthetic remains deceptively original—until you notice the widened engine and custom stainless 5-into-2 exhaust system, which both sound and look incredible.
Despite its rarity and condition, the bike has never been shown. It has been kept in pristine condition and is one of the most exciting examples of a custom Kawasaki in existence.
