Prize Details
A truly unique and fascinating piece of Japanese motorcycling history, this 1975 Suzuki RE5 Rotary is powered by a liquid-cooled single-rotor Wankel engine, making it one of the most innovative and unconventional production motorcycles ever built.
This particular example is in fantastic condition, having had just two owners from new and covered under 3,000 miles in its lifetime. The last owner cherished the bike for over 20 years, sparingly used and meticulously cared for, only parting with it due to relocation to New Zealand.
Recently fully serviced and thoroughly checked over, this RE5 is running exactly as it should and is ready to be ridden and enjoyed. It is a genuine no-expense-spared example that presents beautifully and performs exactly as Suzuki intended.
Why this prize is special
The Suzuki RE5 stands as one of the boldest engineering statements ever made by a Japanese manufacturer. Rare, technically fascinating, and unmistakably different, it represents a short but important chapter in motorcycling history.
With ultra-low mileage, minimal ownership, and outstanding condition, this example is a rare opportunity to own a genuine rotary-engined production motorcycle that is both collectible and usable. A true conversation piece, investment-grade classic, and an unforgettable riding experience.
A very special machine — and an increasingly hard-to-find icon of classic Japanese innovation.
