1981 DeLorean DMC-12 – 2.8 V6 | Ultra Low Mileage | Restored Stainless Steel Body

In the world of classic cars, there are rare models—and then there are icons. The 1981 DeLorean DMC-12 is undoubtedly one of the most recognisable and coveted cars of the 20th century, and this example is truly extraordinary.

Chassis number 3935, this DMC-12 has covered just under 2,000 miles from new and comes with a fascinating backstory. Originally delivered to Hub Motor Company in Atlanta, Georgia, it was repainted red and kept on display in the showroom until 1987, when it was sold to its first proper owner. It remained part of a private collection and was sparingly driven for over two decades.

In 2013, with only 1,641 miles on the clock, the car underwent a $20,000 mechanical restoration using official DeLorean Motor Company parts. Then in 2021, the car was shipped to the UK and sent to PJ Grady, the renowned DeLorean specialists, where it was professionally stripped and returned to its original stainless steel finish.

Today, this DeLorean remains in exceptional mechanical and cosmetic condition, with everything from the ice-cold air conditioning to the electric windows, mirrors, and digital clock in perfect working order.
