Prize Details
A unique and very well-known 1985 Honda Acty custom kei truck, built over long-term ownership and now one of the most recognisable examples in the UK scene.
This Acty has won 24 awards at shows across the UK and has also been featured in Street Machine, Fast Car Magazine, Custom Car Japan, and Classic.Retro.Modern. It’s a UK-supplied truck rather than a recent Japanese import, originally sold by Boston Motor Cars in Hyde, Cheshire, and has been in the previous owner’s care for over ten years.
The truck has had extensive bodywork and fabrication, including smoothed panels, custom lower side and rear panels, tubbed front arches, a widened rear tailgate, and a bed modified to allow the wheels to sit up through the floor. It sits on hydraulic suspension with a maximum 7” drop, using a custom rear 4-link setup and Image Billet 19 three-piece wheels.
The standard 545cc two-cylinder engine was fully rebuilt, cleaned and painted in summer 2021, and it also has a cone air filter and full custom stainless steel exhaust system. The interior has been given the same level of attention, with a flocked dashboard, Astrali dished steering wheel, chrome rear-view mirror, brown seat belts, and recycled skateboard details for the gear knob and handbrake handle.
The truck is finished with an Ifor Williams canopy, restored and modified to suit the build, with a retro 1980s-style display theme inside. It also features Stranger Things-inspired WSQK Squawk Radio graphics, giving it a fun extra detail that suits the truck’s period look and show personality.
Tax and MOT exempt, with the last MOT carried out in April 2024. It comes with a large history folder, receipts and paperwork from the previous owner’s ten-year build, along with spares from donor trucks.
