This handsome 1970 Triumph 650cc Tiger Special is a well-built and very attractive classic, originally registered as a T100 and upgraded early in its life to 650cc Trophy specification using correct Triumph components. This was a common period practice, resulting in a lighter, more responsive machine with the performance of Triumph’s larger-capacity models.
The bike now runs a Triumph Trophy–spec 650cc engine, which performs superbly — starting easily and delivering smooth, free-revving power with excellent road manners. It represents the best of Triumph’s late oil-tank era, before the move to oil-in-frame models in 1971.
Presented in excellent condition, it has clearly benefitted from a high-quality restoration. It features new chrome British rims, stainless steel spokes, and a beautifully executed paint finish in light teal with ivory white panels and gold pinstriping, giving it a refined and elegant appearance.
A true gentleman’s British classic — light, smooth, stylish, and ready to be enjoyed.
A beautifully presented Triumph 650cc Tiger Special, upgraded in period from a T100 to Trophy specification and offering the ideal blend of lightweight handling and strong 650cc performance. Honest, correctly described, and full of classic Triumph charm.
A refined and highly usable British twin that’s ready to ride and enjoy.
